Recent developments in the area of Israeli intellectual property law, as set forth in the Supreme Court's judgment in Leave to Civil Appeal 2516/05 Ma'ariv Newspaper Ltd. vs. All You Need Ltd., are discussed in this Article. The Article deals with the complex issues that are raised when one attempts to re-examine traditional intellectual property doctrines in light of new realities presented by the World Wide Web and explains the  Supreme Court's de facto determination according to which the economic interests of owners of information databases are secondary to those of the general public.
